Tryouts

For the purposes of tryouts, all players registering for 7v7 age teams (U7-U10) will register and tryout at their respective age groups.  If based on registration numbers, certain age brackets need to be combined due to low turnout, or other changes made, the club will adjust teams accordingly.

Play and Team Selection

Players playing 9v9 and older age soccer (U11 and up) can try out and play at any year allowed by the league, provided the club, the coach of the team and the families wish them to do so. True A, B, and C teams etc. may be formed at these age brackets and any player can be placed in any age range allowed by the governing body (league), provided the club, the coach and the parent agree.  These teams may play in multiple and or different leagues (as per the rules of the governing bodies/leagues). 

For new and developmental age 7v7 (U7-U10) teams, the club will default to age-appropriate player placement. Players will be evaluated and placed on teams according to their birthdate.  

Registration numbers may provide for situations, where it is either necessary for kids to be allowed to play up in order to have enough kids fill a roster, or field an additional team at an age group, but those exception scenarios notwithstanding, every effort will be made to not “cut” age appropriate kids at the developmental 7v7 (U7-U10)  ages for kids playing up. 

If in the first year of the program (U7-U10), certain ages are mixed in order to provide/field additional teams in an age bracket, teams will not be divided by “A,” “B,” “C” etc. but focus will be paid to put all of the kids playing up to fill a roster on the same team in that age bracket.
